5 things you’ll find in my bedroom: photos from friends, whiteboard, A:TLA DVDs, yarn bag, way fewer books than expected (our bookcase is in our living room & I left my SF/F collection in the US)

5 things I’ve always wanted to do: visit more places on my travel wishlist (Brazil, Greece, Istanbul, Prague, New Zealand...), try scuba diving, develop a yoga/pilates habit (unsuccessful so far), get a dog (someday when I have more time/$?), create my dream home library

Re: Yamato Nadeshiko, OMG Sunako/Kyohei is my favorite OTP and I will ship it into hilarious fluffy oblivion. Also the How to Be a Lady outtake clips in the anime had me ROLLING, omg. xD Other favorite things: how there is no one way to be a lady, and Sunako's oblivious sweetness to her female friends. It reminds me of Haruhi a little bit!

Rosie_Rues's Otayuri has literally everything I want in Otabek and Yuri characterization, relationship progression, hilarity, etc.! I want so much more of this kind of dynamic.

I've got to do a Poirot re-watch. I never think of him as a favorite, but then I watch and he's so charming.

So many places I want to see! & yes Poirot is great, but I have this reaction for Miss Marple. I wish more shows/movies featured amazing old ladies like her. :D

So she actually doesn't look nearly as old as she is (71!), but the actor Brenda Blethyn plays a detective called Vera in a show by the same name set in the north of England. It's oddly healing to see a confident older woman bossing around her many young male sergeants. The most recent four episodes are on youtube posted by SmartDetective, if you're interested. (A flist-er just pointed them out to me, and I've been enjoying them this past week.) M.
