1. Korra etc. busting into council meeting: unsurprising. Lin Bei Fong busting into council meeting: also unsurprising. ♥ I put my Lin/Korra goggles on early, okay?

2. LIN/TENZIN OMG.
+ LOLOL YESSSSS, SO CALLED IT (in, er, Episode 1, I suppose, but back then it looked a lot more like wishful thinking).
+ Also lol: Korra's "Mister Heartbreaker" & Tenzin's "WHY AM I TELLING YOU THIS", heeeee. Their relationship gives me so many warm fuzzies omg! ♥ ♥ ♥
+ SO MANY FEELINGS. Also, AANG AND LIN GETTING ALONG FAMOUSLY AJSD:LKJS:DLG ;;;;; :D :D :D :D

3. Mako & Asami blowing kisses! Ahahahaha is it ridiculous that I find that... kind of obnoxiously cute? It's a shame Asami didn't get to do much but sit around looking pretty this ep, though. :< BRYKE DO SOME MORE WITH HER ALREADY PLS.

4. WOLFBATS LOL YOU ARE RIDICULOUS. That match, though! *___*
+ Good on Mako for making them play fair! ♥
+ Korra vs. Tahno moments: MOST SATISFYING y/y?
+ I'd bet you anything Amon paid off the ref.
+ LOLOL at Tenzin and Lin in the stands omg. TENZIN YOU ARE THE BEST WHEN YOU ARE SHOUTY I'M JUST SAYING.
+ So many feelings it deserves its own bullet point: "Give her a chance" as;dlkaf;sldkjg!!

5. AMON and his boy-band-esque poses badass planning!
+ It's kind of awesome how creepy I find him even though I like the Equalists! I hope we get to see more of the inner workings of that group. (Asami & Korra doing an infiltration job is an EPIC DREAM of mine okay?)
+ FLASHBAAAAAAAAACK. Grown-ass Gaang gives me ALL THE FEELINGS; I need to rewatch this bit for reasons. (... okay, and I got distracted over how pretty they all are and couldn't pay sufficient attention to what was actually going on. >.>)
+ BOLIN AND PABU, D'AWWW. And Mako and Korra's silly grins!
+ Also, Tenzin, how you managed to be COMPLETELY INEFFECTIVE when you were the only one who saw them coming, idek. /o\ ♥

6. ALL THIS KORRA/LIN ASD:LSDKJF:LSDKFJ:LSDKGJSDF

+ TRANSCENDING LIFETIMES FEELINGS, OMG. If we could see these two, ahem, getting on famously, my life would be COMPLETE.

Why would Amon have paid off the ref to ensure a Wolfbat victory? Wouldn't Amon prefer to take out the Fire Ferrets, and incidentally the Avatar? Okay, maybe not, because he had his chance to take Korra's bending and didn't take it, but. Why would Amon have paid off the ref at all?

Ah! My bet's on the theory that Amon knows that Korra plays fair. (She's clearly all right with playing dirty if someone goads her into it, but it's not her first impulse.) It's pretty clear that she tends to attack head on, and that the damage she does is because she's kinda clueless/hasn't learned to think much about consequences, not because she's malicious. Also, I'm pretty sure Tahno is not inconspicuous about his rage once Korra's humiliated him in public. If Amon wants to frame the oppression of non-benders in an easy and demonstrable fair play argument, all he has to do is watch Tahno stew (and maybe have someone push a few buttons), pay off the ref, and make the Wolfbats an example.

Finally watched episode 6.

1.
Can I say I'm finding the pro-bending... boring? I like that they finally explained why we're not seeing a lot of bending moves that were pretty basic in ATLA ("against the rules") but, meh.

2.
Lin is the win. I need some explanation of what happened to the metalbender airships, because clearly they were no where to be seen.

3.
No Avatar state, again. I'm getting really disturbed by it. I'm wondering if the ability is totally gone at this point?

1. Haha, I'm easier to please in terms of bending, but comparatively speaking, I think I agree? The pro-bending matches were interesting to me, but except for the bit a few eps back where Korra makes her footwork breakthrough, they don't grab me in the gut the way the fight scenes outside the ring do. A:TLA still wins in terms of sheer epic, though.

3. I think we won't see any Avatar state until Korra's worked through/at the very least done more work on her spiritual baggage? So far we haven't seen Korra do much spiritual/emotional work yet. (If we count the flashbacks as markers of progress, she's only gone two steps down the road! :P)
