Happy 中秋節/추석/Trung Thu/Lantern Festival/Mid-autumn Festival! :D &hearts I am opening drabble requests (again! despite my to-write list!) in celebration, so in the event that anybody wants Saving Face, or Avatar, or more Cho Chang, etc., you've got about 12 hours to spam me with prompts. Vivian shrugged. "Well, I've had red bean, and green bean, and pumpkin, and lotus seed, and none of those appealed."
"... okay," Wil said, rubbing at her temples. "Have you had them with egg yolk?"
Vivian wrinkled her nose.
"Oh you have got to be kidding me."
"I know, I know, I'm so not Chinese," Vivian said, rolling her eyes.
Wil stuck out her tongue. "Well, yes, I probably would have got around to that eventually, but what I was also going to say is-" she held out Ma's bakery box triumphantly- "more for me!"
Vivian laughed, snatched the box out of her hands, and tackled her into the mattress.

Vivian glared at her over Lily's head and went back to pacing in circles. "Shhhh, shhh, it's okay-"
"Right, okay, so. There are no nasty smells, her temperature seems normal... do you think she's teething?"
"I am not sticking my finger in her mouth to find out."
Wil sighed and tried offering the pacifier again. Lily spat it across the room and cried harder. "Well," Wil said, stooping to examine the rubber nipple, "there are no teeth marks."
Vivian rolled her eyes. "Tell me again why I agreed to this?"
"Because you haven't seen me conscious in about a week?"
"I think my judgment needs an overhaul," Viv muttered, patting Lily on the back. Lily emitted a few alarming gurgling noises and spit a gob of dribbly greenish goo on Viv's shirt.
Wil cringed.
"Right," said Vivian. "You may not be able to say no to your mother, but I am never babysitting with you again."

Toph curled her toes lazily. "Was it actually circulating, or were you trying to sneak some before your busboy stint?"
"Why, you little-"
"Sokka!" Zuko called from inside the tea shop. "Where are the mooncakes? I need six lotus seed ones, three with egg yolks!"
"On the counter! Just don't take any from the tray on the left- somebody went and made mud-replicas while I wasn't looking."
Toph smirked. "Aw, thanks, Sokka! It's good to know I'm still the Earthbending Queen of the World; you'd never have mistaken those for food otherwise."
"We should never have encouraged your penchant for scamming," Sokka grumbled, stomping back indoors.
