Hello everyone! :) A few years back, I decided that it would be a good idea to do a post-reveals friending fest, so that we can have our small-fandom squee year round. Come and get a little more love for your Yuletide stories past and present, and see who else is in your Yuletide fandoms!

[Comments on at Dreamwidth only, for purposes of centralization. Feel free to comment using OpenID!]

to get the ball rolling:

name: [personal profile] glass_icarus/Yvonne

fandoms: I am extremely multi-fannish. These days I've been spending most of my time on HP and Merlin, but I poke at any of the fandoms on my active list as inspiration strikes- I suspect I will be writing more Saving Face in days to come, for one. :D I'll read anything I know, even vaguely (House, Dexter, Ocean's 11, etc.), and several things I don't (Supernatural, SGA).

Yuletide years: 4! :)

i wrote: This year, I wrote five exercises in aggravation (Junjou Romantica) and eating together (Saving Face). The latter was written for Yuletide Madness as part of the [community profile] dark_agenda challenge.
Last year, I wrote like a whole almond (Wild Adapter) and piece of sky (Stigma).
In 2007, I wrote Aurora Borealis (His Dark Materials), Flowerfire: Winter's End (Fionavar Tapestry), a tale of first meetings (Damar), Letters from Rajmuat (Tamora Pierce- Tortall series), a solitary blue (Fionavar), and touch (Shounen Onmyouji).
In 2006, which was my first Yuletide, I wrote love, do you remember my name (Fionavar), as well as a post-exchange gift-fic for Yuletiders, The Longest Road (Fionavar).

primary journal/blogspace: I inhabit this pseud on LJ and Dreamwidth, and split my time more or less equally between both.

journaling habits: Depending on my mood, you'll come across fic, fandom, RL, race-related writing, and whatever randomnesses strike my interest. All fic is public; everything else I lock as I deem necessary.

hobbies/interests/anything else you'd like to add: I am a magpie; I like shiny things! Of all kinds! I am also more than happy to meet anybody who shares my specific shiny-thing loves. :D

If you want specifics, you can take a peek at my somewhat current list of LJ interests (http://pyrefly.livejournal.com/profile). I like all sorts of other things like movies and books and TV shows, and I'll read my friends' fic in them, but I don't really fangirl about them, or write them myself.

hobbies/interests/anything else you'd like to add: well, I guess my biggest hobby right now is video games since that's about all I have time for these days. So if you're a gamer, come squee over shiny awesome games with me please! :D Oh, and I guess I read a lot of BL manga and sometimes squee over that too. Other than that... I used to be real big into web design but now that I'm getting paid to do it I'm not sure whether it still counts as 'fun'. But I like making friends with other web designers!

Ally McBeal, Almost Famous, Enchanted, Friends, Gossip Girl, JAG, Roswell, Supernatural, Terminator, the Sarah Connor Chronicles, The OC, The X-Files...

And so many others I didn't realize I truly fangirled until this year's Yuletide.

And Comics. I love me some comics.

I'm in the process of moving my fiction from my website to A03, but will continue to maintain and update the fiction website, too.

name: [personal profile] edonohana/Edo no Hana (fic); rachelmanija (Rachel) everything else.

fandoms: I'm not active in fandom per se, but I'm currently into lots of manga and anime and books and cooking/dance/fashion reality shows.

Yuletide years: 5, I think, including my first year when I defaulted.

I wrote: This year: My Yuletide assignment, for Anne McCaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern novels, was The Ballad of Mirrim and Menolly's Ride, for [personal profile] calenlily. Menolly, Mirrim, and Mirrim's dragon Path travel through times that were, will be, and might have been to warn Pern of a deadly new threat.

The Marvels We Have Seen, from Anne McCaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern, was a Treat for [personal profile] boosette, who wrote the lovely Menolly-centric Lend Song a Sweeter Grace last year. A fire lizard mating flight brings Mirrim and Menolly closer together in more ways than one.

Will You Bloom Bright And Fierce was a Yuletide Treat for [personal profile] teaotter, who wrote the fabulous Steerswoman story Dumb Animals last year. It's based on the gorgeous Dave Carter and Tracy Grammar song The Disappearing Man. The story itself requires no familiarity with the song or anything else.

Thistledown. From Ursula K. Le Guin's Earthsea series, accessible if you've read the first book. For Doire, who requested something about Vetch, one of my favorite characters. The deeds of women are not often written into songs.

Color All Days Blue, But Save One For Many Colors. For Shannon C, who requested a cracky crossover with V. C. Andrews' Flowers in the Attic.

Last year I wrote The Star in the Sapphire. Epic (8000 words!), plotty story based on L. J. Smith's Secret Circle trilogy, about teenage witches.

The Drop. Spooks/MI-5. Tom Quinn can't let go of his past.

Cherry Ames, Summer Camp Nurse. Based on the Cherry Ames series written in the 1940s-1950s, about a very dedicated nurse with cheeks red as cherries. PG-rated femmeslash.

In 2007 I wrote All the King's Men. Godchild. Rated R. At least. Contains lots of explicit and inventive sex, including BDSM and some mindgames, but all consensual.

City of Angels. Written for Francesca Lia Block's Weetzie Bat series, but I think it stands on its own. The prompt was "make this New Yorker miss Los Angeles."

Lucky. Er, Dragonlance. I had way too much fun writing this one.

In 2006 I wrote The Taste of Honey. Probably the most popular story I've ever written. I love it too. Death, Dream, and a city.

Blood and Ink for Lloyd Alexander's Westmark. There's always another battle.

The Rose of Naamah. The young Phedre runs into Melisandre at a ball. Contains explicit sex and extreme consensual masochism.

The Story of Marli-Hrair and the Black Rabbit of Inle.

fandoms: Mostly slash, currently a fair amount of The Professionals and the new Star Trek, but you name it, I've probably squeed about it: B5, Buffy, BSG, dS, HCL, HP, Lewis, Slings & Arrows, S&H, TS, Twitch City, XF, Young Wizards. And so on.
Yuletide years: Two! This year and last year, but this was the first year I did #yuletide and really got into it.
I wrote: This year: Cherry Without Any Stone (Points series), Of Unfed Hope (Vorkosigan, Miles/Galeni), Gloves Come Off (Babylon 5, Bester gen). Also I translated my Yuletide gift, the infamous Latin BDSM story. Last year: Deck the Halls With Glowing Deer (Psych gen, Shawn & Gus friendship casefic) and A Commission (Points series).
primary journal/blogspace: I crosspost from DW to LJ, so pick either.
journaling habits: Sporadic fanfiction, locked RL posts, and a generally large amount of geekery.
hobbies/interests/anything else you'd like to add: I am a language and linguistics nerd who is learning Latin so as to write better Ancient Rome slash AUs. I think that about sums up my priorities.

fandoms: These are most of the fandoms I've written in. Not listed are Sherlock Holmes, which I'd read for years but only just started writing, Earthsea, which I've never posted, and all the fandoms I've only read in. I have way too many fandoms.

Yuletide years: 2009 was my first!

i wrote: Help Wanted, a Marvel Adventures gen teamfic.

primary journal/blogspace: Everything I post to Dreamwidth gets crossposted to [livejournal.com profile] iambickilometer or [livejournal.com profile] aopt. So either one, really.

journaling habits: Fic, fandom, queer activism, things about my life, comics squee or rants, things about transgender issues, and occasionally other forms of politics. But not very often.

hobbies/interests/anything else you'd like to add: I'm a huge comics geek, I'm a transguy, and I really dislike wank. I am unrepentantly fond of some unpopular storyarcs in certain comics, and sometimes I just want to be excited about the good and handwave the bad. I love making new friends and being inducted into new fandoms, and I love meeting people who get excited about the things I get excited about. :D

primary journal/blogspace: Here on DW. My LJ gets updated only sporadically.
journaling habits: I post pretty frequently (okay, a lot!). Fanfiction, fanart, fandom babbling, the occasional RL whining.
hobbies/interests/anything else you'd like to add: Uhm. Anime, manga, video games. Plus movies, cartoons, books - I really like being entertained. XD I can capslock with the best of them, think fandom wank is funny (but totally prefer to not get involved), and try to comment as much as possible. Sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn't. *G*

fandoms: faaaantasy ololol. My big ones are A Song of Ice and Fire and The Silmarillion, followed fairly closely by the Black Jewels Trilogy, Wheel of Time, HP Lovecraft, Doctrine of Labyrinths, the Caliban Leandros Series...basically, see what I wrote for Yuletide; I think I put something in every one of my fandoms. The ones I'm actively fannish in, that is.
Yuletide years: This was my second Yuletide.
i wrote: a...lot. XD My reveal post is here but high points incluuude my main assignment, Memorial, for Black Jewels Trilogy, and of my treats, The Gravedigger for A Song of Ice and Fire, and the beast never seen and When We Were Young for The Silmarillion, and Lingering On for the Gentleman Bastard Sequence.
primary journal/blogspace: [personal profile] minviendha at livejournal; the fic goes at [profile] ficviendha, on the off chance anyone's interested.
journaling habits: I tend to ramble, a lot, about whatever interests me at the moment. I make fanmixes and icons, sometimes. I complain about things, sometimes talk about my life, mostly bring up cracky things that I wish I could see - lately there has been a lot of Silmarillion and A Song of Ice and Fire AU, and/or HP Lovecraft crossovers. Yeeeaaah.
hobbies/interests/anything else you'd like to add: I read, obvs, and love to roleplay. That's mostly it. Oh, and I'm dangerously addicted to the game Text Twist. I'm never getting anything done again, I swear. And love new friends, that too! I like to think I'm a friendly and welcoming person, and always glad to meet other writertypes and fannishtypes and the like.
