"Can we go penguin-sledding, Korra? Can we? Can we?" Meelo shouts.
"No, Meelo, the penguins live in the South Pole with your Gran-gran Katara."
"Awwww. You're no fun!"
Korra makes a face. She's pretty sure she was more offended at being labeled "no fun" this morning. Three hours of Meelo with no parents later, though, she's getting desperate for lower-energy games to play. It's a small mercy that Pema's taken the equally hyperactive Ikki to the market.
"No fun! No fun! No fun!" Meelo zooms around her in circles, then across the courtyard and up Naga's very startled back.
"Meelo, no pulling!" Korra starts across the yard and trips over her tangled shoelaces. "Spirits. Where's a distraction when I need one?"
Jinora sighs and puts down her book. "Meelo!" she says. "Come here. If you beat me at air marbles, I'll teach you how to glider-surf."
Korra picks her up and swings her in a circle. "Jinora, you're the best!"
"Secrets of a big sister," says Jinora. "Also, survival strategies. You owe me lychee pudding, by the way."
