Hee, I enjoyed the premise of this series for all the same reasons you did, although I think I wanted the anime to go further/get more serious with the library/censorship angle than it did. (Room for fic?) I really liked Iku/Doujou for all the same reasons you did. XD
Also, you are so right: Shibasaki/Iku = f/f pairing for the win!
