I am actually thinking about a proper book write-up as we speak, haha! Short version: it's about an arranged marriage between Stanford-graduate doctor Neel and English teacher Leila, and it deals with the disconnect between American immigrants and sourcelanders, internalized racism, family/social-circle expectations, and arranged marriages in (I thought) very sympathetic and complex ways. I think you'd enjoy Leila much more than Neel (I wanted to smack him at various junctures), though I don't know if you would find her innocence entirely believable? *hands*
