Today was a good day! I am home now, from birthday-ing and book-binging (Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress by Dai Sijie, which I admired theoretically but did not at all connect with emotionally, A Good Indian Wife by Anne Cherian, which I fell completely into, and then Li-Young Lee's Behind My Eyes, which I caved and bought and devoured on the bus ride home) and bouncing out after half a day of work on a technically-long-weekend, and I am so ready for sleep, you guys, so ready. Those racefail links are excellent. I am way too excited about queerlit50, and plotting to crosspost from 50books_POC some volumes I've put off reading/reviewing (because I am a big cheater).

I was thinking about 50books last year, but then I realized that a) I was indulging my book-binging habits too rarely to do it properly, and b) I am always too busy chasing down diverging thought-trains to write many book reviews. *g* This year, maybe!
