I want to in particular bring Elvis Costello's song "Tramp the Dirt Down" to more people's attention.

Yessssss. Data point: when Thatcher died, many of us had a ceremonial play of that song.

And -- it takes a lot for me to consider in any sense celebrating someone's death, especially someone who died of dementia; the monster had been gone for years already. But that song is a ritual that requires solemn completion. We outlived her.
