1. I remember linking Miyoko Ihara's adorable grandma & cat pictures ages ago, but now they're apparently available in photo book format! *_____*

2. Sriracha lip balm! Who thinks up this stuff. Also, I totally said I'd get this for a friend but forgot until just now, oops.

3. You know it's finals season when you get into conversations like this:
"What's the most popular risk factor for death, you guys? LIFE!!"
"But... that's 100% exposure and no non-exposure, doesn't that make it a necessary pre-condition?"

4. I made the mistake of buying an entire head of cabbage something like 3 weeks ago. I've been trying and failing to finish it since I bought it, and now have to finish it before I go home (in 3 days), enforced pre-holiday detox style. WHAT DO I DO WITH CABBAGE, GUYS, TELL ME.

Ahahaha.

I usually chop cabbage and saute it with some sort of protein and soy sauce. Otherwise I toss it in soup like tinola.

Make kimchi? :D Other possibilities: cabbage soup (heck, sounds like you could just roast the cabbage the way the recipe suggests and you'd have a decent base of something edible), cabbage slaw with hazelnuts and lemon? (Cabbage does not make regular appearances in my kitchen because it sits and I have no idea what to do with it; the above recipes just show up when I do a search through my bookmarks.)

If you have potatoes, Colcannon? You can definitely make it without the cream. (My lactose intolerance says no to cream but not to milk, weirdly.)

I loooove cabbage. Fry with garlic and soy sauce, done. I'm generally able to get through a head in two or three meals.

Usually I just stir fry it with garlic and a little salt, steam for a bit to soften, and let the water boil off...
