Hee! I've gotten by without/with very few pockets before, but I like bags that are designed to minimize my groping/rummaging about in them. I have good enough spatial memory that it saves me considerable time and energy to just recall which pocket I put something in and grab it (as opposed to digging around or dumping everything out on a table somewhere).
