I know how the sentimentality thing can be, even though it's in more of a "why did you have to get so bad/boringly predictable?" way since I don't think I've actually read anyone yet involved in Racefail '09. At least if Wrede is dead to your library you have a little more time to discover people who aren't afraid of a little social awareness.

Don't worry about it! Depressing things make everything more balanced, even if they suck at the time. :)
